PIONEER SEVILLE RESIDENT PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY YESTERDAY --
WELL KNOWN IN WEST VOLUSIA

Funeral services for J. C. Robinson, 82 years of age, will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at Seville Baptist Church with burial at the cemetery in the north end town. His body will lie in state for a period of one hour prior to services.

The deceased passed away somewhat suddenly on Thursday morning.

He had previously complained of not feeling well, but had rested comfortably on Wednesday night. He had done his usual duties on the day prior to his death.

Mr. Robinson was a pioneer of Volusia County, having come to that place from Wayne County, Georgia in December of 1881. He was well known in this section, and noted for his vigorous activities, evening late life. Only a few days ago he was greeting his friends in DeLand.

Upon his arrival in Seville in 1881 he went into the citrus, mercantile and real estate business. He retired from the citrus and mercantile field in 1922.

Surviving him are three sons: Emmet M. Robinson, Ira D. Robinson and J. Louis Robinson of Seville and four daughters: Mrs. Lena Powell, formerly of Jacksonville; Mrs. Alex Nichols of Connor; Mrs. H. L. Smith of Crescent City and Mrs. Robert Pendleton of Tallahassee.

In addition to the sons and daughters of the deceased he is survived by 22 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Rev. W. C. Miller and Rev. I.S. Murphy, Baptist pastors, will conduct joint services.

During his long years of activity Mr. Robinson has kept Volusia County and his home town at heart, and has been active in many civic affairs looking to the uplift of the community.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of Carl Frank of Crescent City.
