OWENS, ROBERT B. – Funeral service for Robert B. Owens, 80, 837 Orange Ave., Holly Hill, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Henry A. Quarterman Chapel, 1201 S. Ridgewood Ave. with Rev. W. A. Wiggins of the First Baptist Church officiating assisted by Rev. Merl B. Wentz of the Astor Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Seville Cemetery.

Mr. Owens died Friday morning at the VA Hospital at Gainesville, Fla., after an extended illness. He was born in Sumner, GA. and moved here from Crescent City in 1954. He was a retired carpenter, a veteran of W. W. I., Carpenters Local No. 1725 and the Seville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rellie B., 2 sons, Lawton K. of Cleveland, Miss. and Malcolm P. of Charlotte, No. Carolina; 1 daughter, Mrs. Frances Langford of Holly; 1 brother, S. S. Owens of Jacksonville; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ida Fleming of Moultrie, Ga. and Mrs. Alice Taylor of Jacksonville and 7 grandchildren.

Calling hours at the Quarterman Chapel will be today from 3 until 5 and 7 until 9 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made the American Heart Society.
Quarterman funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
