MALPHURS, DENA K. - Graveside service for Dena K. Malphurs, 25, who died Tuesday, December 8, 1998, at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka, after a long illness, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, at Seville Cemetery with the Rev. Robert L. White officiating.

Visitation will be today (Friday) from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the family's home.

Born in St. Augustine, Dena lived in Pomona Park all her life. She loved animals and spending time with her friends, family and particularly her horses. She loved music and taught herself to play the piano by listening to her mother give lessons to other students. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her parents, Albert and Jane Malphurs, Pomona Park; paternal grandmother, Catherine Johnson, Pomona Park; maternal grandparents, J.W. and Edith Stewart, Liberty, S. C.; fiancé, Scott Hodges, Ft. Stewart, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Tammy Malphurs, Deltona; brother, Stewart Malphurs, and sister, Carol Davis, both of Pomona Park; niece, Brandi Malphurs, Deltona; nephews, Matt Davis, Pomona Park, and Jake and Logan Malphurs, Deltona.

At the family's request, make contributions to Hospice of North Central Florida, 3204 Crill Avenue, Palatka, FL 32177.

Clayton Frank and Sons Funeral Home, Crescent City, is in charge of arrangements.
