Matthew C. Coleman, 63, of Seville, died Wednesday at West Volusia Memorial Hospital, DeLand.

Born in Swainsboro, Ga., the retired fern grower and cattle owner had lived in Seville 50 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Seville and of the Cattlemen’s Association of Flagler County.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; one son, Walter of Seville; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Baker of Crescent City and Mrs. Frances Bell of Seville; four brothers, Harry of Seville, Neil of Jacksonville, Wilson of Sanford and Johnny of Hawthorne; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Wheeler of Kite, Ga., and Mrs. Gladys Cowart of Anthony and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. in the Seville United Methodist Church with Rev. Al Holley of Seville Baptist Church and Rev. Fred Bowers of Seville Trinity Methodist Church officiating.

Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home of DeLand in charge of arrangements.
