		      Charles  White 
		      
		      Charles  William White, 83, Leeds, Ala., a press foreman for The News-Journal Corp. who  retired in 1967 after more than 36 years' service, died Wednesday at a  Birmingham nursing home. 
		      
		      Mr.  White was born in Long Branch, N.J., and upon his retirement was honored by  members of Local 444 of the International Printing Pressmen's Union by being  elected secretary-treasurer of the local. He was a member of the Masons Lodge  No. 270 and the First Christian Church of Daytona Beach. 
		      
		      He  and his Wife, Grace, were married in 1927 in the parsonage of the First  Christian Church, 326 S. Palmetto Ave. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary  in February 1977. 
		      
		      Survivors  other than his widow include a son, Donald Lewis, Leeds; and three  grandchildren. 
		      Ridouts-Brown  Service Roebuck Chapel, Birmingham, is in charge.
