Florine Thomas

Florine Thomas, 83, of Hastings, died August 4, 2003 at her home.

She was born in Bascom, and had resided in Hastings for the past 57 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hastings. She was the wife of the late Owen O. Thomas Jr.

She is survived by two daughters: Gloria Motes, St. Augustine; Wanda Kight, Hastings; one son: Ranny Thomas, East Palatka; one sister: Hazel Dallas, Winter Park; one brother: Angus Bevis, Dothan, Ala.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Flowers are gratefully accepted or those wishing may make a contribution in her memory to Community Hospice Northeast, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Craig Funeral Home, St. Augustine.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 at First Baptist Church of Hastings with the Rev. Doug Knight, pastor officiating.

Burial will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
