Maudena Lynn Sims, age 49, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 23rd surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years Lee, daughter Chelsee (Devin), son Garrett, mother Marsha, sister Tina, brother Rodney, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and church family.

She loved serving at her church, hunting, fishing, trips to Tennessee and Steinhatchee, watching Alabama football, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Maudena was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend; most importantly, she was a devoted Christian that continued to thank Jesus for all her blessings in life and worshiped the Lord through the battles she faced. She was the first to tell you that “God is able” and that “God’s got this”. Her faith was unshakable and her love was indescribable as she shared her testimony and spoke about the goodness of God until the very end.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Turning Point at Calvary at 11:00 am with the celebration of her life to begin at 12:00 pm. A burial will follow at Pellicer Creek Cemetery
