		      Charles  Parker Dies; Rites Here Saturday 
		      
		      Charles.  Atwood Parker, age 89, of 1335 Eugene Black Street, Daytona Beach, died  Thursday afternoon in a DeLand nursing home. 
		      
		      He  was born in Savannah, Ga., and moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1898. A retired  builder, he had constructed many of the area's landmarks, including the  Princess Issena Hotel. 
		      
		      He  was founder and a charter member of the Cartersville Methodist Church. 
		      
		      Survivors  include three sons, Clyde, Daytona Beach; Charles H., Ormond Beach; Holis, Fredericksburg,  Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Reba Vincent, Mrs. Faye Folsom, Mrs. Eva Hutchinson,  all of Daytona Beach; Mrs. Alma Bond, Indianapolis, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and  23 great-grandchildren. 
		      
		      Graveside  services will be held at the Pellicer Creek Cemetery at 3:30 p.m., Saturday,  with Rev. Ira Thomas, associate minister, of the Pentecostal Evangelistic  Temple, Lake City, officiating. 
		      
		      Friends  may call at the Baggett - McIntosh Funeral Home, Daytona Beach from 7 p.m. until  9 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday.

		      Charles  Parker Passed Away in Nursing Home 
		      
		      Charles  Atwood Parker, pioneer resident of Daytona Beach, passed away Thursday in a DeLand  nursing home following a long illness. He was 89 years of age. 
		      
		      Mr.  Parker was born in Savannah, Georgia, and came to Florida in 1898. He was a retired  builder and also founder and chanter member of the Cartersville Methodist  Church. He also resided and was engaged in the building business in Flagler  Beach for several years. 
		      
		      Graveside  funeral services and interment were held Sunday afternoon at the Pellicer Creek  Cemetery, near Cartersville. Rev. Ira Thomas, associate minister of the  Pentecostal Evangelistic Temple of Lake City officiated. 
		      
		      He is  survived by three sons, Clyde Parker, of Daytona Beach; Charles H. Parker,  Ormond Beach; Hollis Parker of Fredricksburg, Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Reba  Vincent, Mrs. Faye Folsom, Mrs. Eva Hutchinson, all of Daytona Beach, and Mrs.  Alma Bond of Indianapolis, Ind. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 23  great-grand children. 
		      
		      Baggett-McIntosh  of Daytona Beach was in charge of arrangements.
