		    Cecelia (Celie) Clementine Stevens  Nelson, 81, St. Augustine native and lifelong resident, passed away peacefully,  surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the Bailey Center for  Caring in St. Augustine. 
		      
		      Preceded in death by  her husband of 50 years, Henry F. (Hank) Nelson, Celie is survived by her three  children, Merlene and Danny Thomas, St. Augustine, Bruce and Suzanne Nelson,  Orlando, and Brian Nelson, Gainesville. Celie has three grandchildren, Matthew,  Justin and Nicole Nelson.
		      
		      Born at home Feb. 2, 1930,  to Merlin and Theresa Stevens, Celie is also survived by her four siblings and  their spouses, Ellen Tenney, Gerald and Pat Stevens, Bobby and Donna Stevens,  and Neil and Pam Stevens.
		      
		      Celie will also be  remembered for her strength and never-ending love by her extended family of  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
		      
		      Celie worked at Dobbs  Library Binding Company for many years, but her most loved job was with the St.  Johns County School District Media Services Department while interacting with  books, children and teachers in our educational system. 
		      
		      Since the 1960s, Celie  has been an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority to remain a sister  true to their motto of life, learning and friendship. 
		      
		      Funeral services and a  celebration of Celie's life will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Craig Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
		      
		      Flowers are declined.  Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Community Hospice, the Bailey  Center for Caring, c/o Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL  32257.
