Evelyn "Chi Chi" Byrd Mitchell, 95, of Hastings, FL died Aug. 4, 2007, at Flagler Hospital. Mrs. Mitchell was a native and lifelong resident of Hastings. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, managed the Sunset Court Motel and was a Federal Government office worker. She operated a seafood business for many years along with her husband.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be held 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Calling hours: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Pellicer Creek Cemetery.

Survivors: Her brother, W. Earl Byrd, Hastings; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John T. Mitchell.
