		    William Albert "Red" Fulkerson, 74, died at his  home in Flagler Estates surrounded by family Jan. 6, 2005. He was a native of  Cannelton, Ind., and had resided in the St. Augustine area since 1960. He was a  welder at local boat yards in St. Augustine and at Middleton Harvesters in  Elkton. He established his own business, Fulkerson Towing, and operated that  business for nearly 30 years, selling it in 1997.
		    William served his country in the U.S. Army with the 11th  Airborne Division/503rd Regiment at Ft. Campbell, Ky., from Feb. 15, 1951,  until Nov. 8, 1952.
                
		      He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Laura Frances Smith Fulkerson of  Hastings; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura Kay and Ricky Nix of Hastings,  and Debra A. Savage, retired U.S. Navy and Tommy J. Savage, retired U.S. Navy  of Hastings; one son, William E. Fulkerson of St. Augustine; grandchildren  Laura Schonder, Julie Nix and Tammy Nix, Allen Fulkerson and Kevin Fulkerson,  all of St. Augustine, Sam Savage and Michelle Savage of Hastings; and four  great -grandchildren, Austin and Charlie Schonder of St. Augustine and Roni  Savage and Kalyann Savage of Hastings. 
		    He is also survived by one sister and  brother-in-law; Marjorie and Bill Nichols of Bean Station, Tenn., three  brothers and sisters-in-law; Charles and Evelyn Fulkerson of St. Augustine, Ray  and Jean Fulkerson of Cannelton, Ind., and Kenneth and Sarah Fulkerson of Tell  City, Ind. 
              
		      He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Agnes F. Conner and  Sylvester Fulkerson and his baby son, Michael Wayne Fulkerson. He has a loving  family of many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews in Kentucky,  Indiana, Tennessee and North Carolina who will also miss him dearly.
              
		      Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine and  services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, also at Craig's. Burial  will be at Pellicer Creek Cemetery on C.R. 204.
