Palatka Daily News Obituaries Palatka, Florida May 22, 2001 Elizabeth L. Eatman Elizabeth L. Eatman, 81, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at the Apple House in Pomona Park following an extended illness. A native of Hastings, she had been a lifelong resident of St. Johns County. For eighteen years she had worked as a mail carrier in the East Palatka, St. Augustine and Palm Coast areas. She was also a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Palatka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Worth Z. Eatman, Sr. She is survived by her son, Worth Z. "Buddy" Eatman, Jr. of Palm Coast; two daughters, Charlotte Shearer of East Palatka and Betty Patthey of St. Augustine; one brother, Theodore Kersey of Pellicer Creek; three sisters, Gianetta Lookabill of Indianapolis, Ind., Annabelle Whitten of St. Augustine and Stella Wells of Pomona Park; eight grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a. m. Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Pellicer Creek Cemetery with Rev. Hardy B. Sandlin, III officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home of Palatka. Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
