Thomas A. Byrd, 59, Palatka, died Saturday at Putnam Community Hospital. The lifelong Palatka resident was a carpenter and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda Sapp and Patricio Ann Byrd, both of Palatka and Vanessa Faye Campbell, Interlachen; two sons, Christopher Davis Byrd and Thomas Alvin Byrd, Jr., both of Palatka; a sister, Helen Thompson, Palatka; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m., today at Johnson-Davis Funeral Home with Dr. John L. Pelham officiating. Burial will be in Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
