Michael Berman, 50, of Hastings, died April 2, 2002. He was a native of Rockville Center, N.Y. He moved from Freeport, N.Y. to Hastings in 1999. He was retired from Freeport Electrical, Freeport, N.Y. and was in the U.S. Navy. His hobbies included motorcycle riding and Internet surfing.

Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pellicer Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Ron and Joyce Berman, Palm Coast; his wife, Vicki Berman, Hastings; a son, Benjamin Berman, Ludington, Fla.; two daughters, Katherine Smith, Manitowac, Wisc.; Jennifer Berman, Hastings; a sister, Barbara Berman, St. Augustine; a brother, Jeffery Berman, Palm Coast.

Alderson's Palm Coast Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
