Gerald Fitzugh Allen III of Satsuma, Fla., died at Shands Hospital in Gainesville on March 7, 2012.
Jerry was born in St. Augustine. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was an avid hunter.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jackie; son, Jeff Allen of Hazlehurst, Ga.; brothers, Chuck (Paula) Allen of Jacksonville, Joe (Gina) Allen of Elkton and Jim (Karen) Allen of San Mateo; step daughter, Stacy Richie; step sons, Joe and Jeff Guthrie; aunts, Mary Alice Wolfe of Hastings and Frances Gross of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held tonight from 5-8 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
