Obituary of Agapito Rivera

Our dear father and husband, Agapito Rivera also called “Pito” passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, at the age of 82 with his family at his side.

He was a strong and hardworking man that was devoted both to his family and work. He was born and raised in Humacao, Puerto Rico and then moved to New Jersey where he worked at the same company for over 50 plus years until he retired and relocated back to Puerto Rico.

In 2009, him and his wife Maria of 41 years decided to move back to the United States and relocated to Florida to be closer to his children and family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Josefina and Tito and his brothers, Gilberto and Jose.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Josie, Elizabeth, Angel, Jeanette, and David; grandchildren, Christina, Maribel, Joshua, Joseph, and Jessenia; great grandchildren Ethan, Nicollo, Isabel, Stefano, Abigail step children Madeline, Carlos, and Frankie and their children; siblings Angelica, Felicita, Nellie, Sara, Carlos, Angel, Anibal, Enrique, Carmen, and Margie; brother-in-law Frank; sons-in-laws Jose and Ron; grandson-in-laws Colin and Mauricio; and many more loving relatives and wonderful friends.

He loved and enjoyed playing dominos and pool table which he played very well and was pretty serious about it (LOL). His greatest life achievement was when he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 2018 and on October 31, 2021 he was baptized. We know we shall see him again one sweet day until then he will be forever missed, greatly loved, and remembered always. See you soon. Hasta Pronto Papi!

A church visitation for Agapito will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Calvary Christian Center Palm Coast, 4888 Palm Coast Pkwy NW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137. Following the church visitation will be a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Calvary Christian Center, Palm Coast.
