PALM COAST -- Ernest Motta, 79, of Price Lane, a retired director and trainer for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Washington, D.C., died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler, Bunnell. 

Mr. Motta was born in Warwick, R.I., and came here in 1982 from Landover Hills, Md. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed masonry and woodworking. 

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Doris; three sons, Daniel and Robert Motta, both of Palm Coast, and John Langford, Dunnellon; two brothers, John, Lansing, Mich., and James, Kissimmee; and three sisters, Rita Fulbright, Cheverly, Md., Mary Champlin, Kissimmee, and Theresa Cave, Barre, Vt.
