FLAGLER BEACH -- George T. Hirten, 83, of Ocean Marina Drive, a retired custodial engineer for the City of New York, died Saturday at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center, Palm Coast. 

Mr. Hirten moved to this area in 1993 from College Point, N.Y., his birthplace. He was a member of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. 

Survivors include two sons, George, Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and Bruce, Bunnell; a daughter, Maryanne Walisch, Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Craig, Palm Coast, is in charge.
