DALE BROWN, SR. INTERMENT SATURDAY
Dale B. Brown, Sr., 79, passed away at an Orlando hospital Thursday evening after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Brown, a native of Pemberville, Ohio, moved to Florida in 1903 from there. He resided in the St. Johns Park area for several years.
He served as Clerk of Court in Flagler County for 17 years, resigning in 1946 to move to Lake County where he purchased an orange grove.
Mr. Brown was a ruling elder and charter member of the Mt. Dora First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Mt. Dora Rotary Club, Sylvan Shores Association and Mt. Dora Golf Club.
Funeral services were Saturday morning at 10:00 at Rhebaum-Hardin Funeral Home, Mt. Dora, with the Rev. Kenneth Book officiating. Interment was at Hope Cemetery in Flagler County at 2:00 Saturday afternoon.
Survivors include his wife, Florence, Mt. Dora; one daughter, Mrs. June Paulling, Leesburg; one son, Dale B. Jr., Bunnell; one sister, Mrs. Neva Eisenbach, Bunnell; two stepdaughters, Misses Ruth and Helen Hawkins, both of Denver, Colo.; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
