Funeral services for Isaac Lamar Brooks, 34, was held Monday afternoon at three o’clock from the First Baptist Church with Rev. John M. Dickson, pastor of the church, officiating.

Interment was made in Hope cemetery with military honors conferred by Flagler Post 115, The American Legion. Craig Funeral home in St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brooks, who was a native of Bunnell, was killed Friday, June 22, near West Palm Beach when he was crushed between two vehicles on U. S. Highway 1. He was employed by the Florida State Road Department. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearle Brooks, two sons, Gene and David and one daughter, Betty, of West Palm Beach; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Brooks, Bunnell; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Woods of Bunnell and Mrs. Ola Decker of St. Augustine; three brothers, Robert of St. Augustine, Shelton of Bunnell and Adolph of West Palm Beach.

Pallbearers, all American Legion members were R. T. Hamilton, James Buono, H. M Benson, D. T. Forsyth, R. Archer and Louis Trad.
