Kenneth L. Whitney, 71, 1337 S. Central Ave., Flagler Beach, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Ormond Beach Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.

He was born in Sanford, N. Y. and moved to Flagler County 23 years ago from Clermont.

He was a retired mechanic, and a member of Flagler Beach Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mae,  four daughters, Mrs. Bobby McMillian, Ocala; Mrs. Barbara Cummings, Clermont; Mrs. Donna Millar, Ft. Ord, Calif.; Mrs. Joyce Lindsay, Cross City; one son, Kenneth, Flagler Beach, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Friday at Flagler Beach United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Lynch, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Espanola Cemetery.
