Lovetta G. Whitaker, 86, of Bunnell, died Monday, February 13, 2012. Born January 19, 1926 in Whitesburg, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. G.G. and Harriett Gravitt.

In 1957 she moved to Flagler County with her husband, the late J.T. "Terrell" Whitaker. She was employed as a Production Specialist with a local electronics company until her retirement.

Lovetta enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and dear friend who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons; Ty (Sandra) Whitaker, Tab Whitaker, both of Bunnell; and one daughter, Tami (Jack) Rawlins of Seville, Fla; three grandsons, Joshua (Heather) Whitaker, Jermey (Tanya) Whitaker, Zachary Rawlins; and one granddaughter, Trista Rawlins; two great-grandchildren, Georiga Whitaker and Jordon Whitaker; two step-granddaughters, Denise Boyott of Brooksville, Fla and Lee Boyett of Seville, Fla; five step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmo"Bo" (Ima) Gravitt of Bowden, GA; George Gravitt of Bowden, GA, Goodwin Gravitt of Lanette, AL; and two sisters, Lavada Brown of Bowden, GA and Sybil Jackson of Ranburn, AL.

Friends may call Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4:00-8:00PM and Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 9:30-10:30AM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012, 11:00AM at Espanola Cemetery, Espanola, Fla.
