BUNNELL  - James Thomas Whitaker, 69, of North Anderson Street, who owned Whitaker  Electric, died Thursday at Florida Hospital-Flagler, Palm Coast. 
Mr.  Whitaker, a Marine Corps veteran, was born in Valley Park, Mo., and moved here  in 1974 from Ballwin, Mo. He also taught journeyman classes for the Flagler  County Adult Education Center. A member of First Baptist Church of Bunnell, he  also served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Whitaker was a  five-year missionary in the Bahamas and a former member of the Lions Club. He  enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. 
Survivors  include his wife of 46 years, Barbara; a son, Dwayne, a daughter, Tracie Ann  Whitaker, and his mother, Margaret Whitaker, all of Bunnell; a brother,  Richard, Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

WHITAKER,  JAMES THOMAS-Funeral service for James Thomas Whitaker, 69, North Anderson  Street, Bunnell, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at First Baptist  Church of Bunnell, 401 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell, with the Rev. Mike Saunders  officiating. Burial will follow at Espanola Cemetery. The family will receive  friends from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. today (Sunday) at the chapel of Craig-Flagler  Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. S., Flagler Beach. 
Mr.  Whitaker died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at Florida Hospital Flagler, Palm  Coast. He was born in Valley Park, Mo., April 16, 1935. Mr. Whitaker was the  owner of Whitaker Electric of Bunnell and an instructor in the electrical  journeyman class for the Flagler County Adult Education Center. He was a  member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell, where he served as a deacon and  a Sunday school teacher. He was a former missionary in the Bahamas for five  years and a former member of the Lions Club of Bunnell. Mr. Whitaker was a  veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. 
Survivors  include his wife of 46 years, Barbara; daughter, Tracie Ann, Bunnell; son,  Dwayne T., Bunnell; mother, Margaret G. Whitaker, Bunnell; brother, Richard  J., Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
