		    Mrs. Maggie Watkins died at the home of her daughter here  early Wednesday morning, September 27, following an illness of several months’  duration.
		    Mrs. Watkins was 83 years old and had led an active life  until about a year ago, since which time she has been in failing health. She  was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, but has resided in Florida for the  past twenty-seven years. She has been making her home here with her son-in-law  and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Mercer, for the past 20 years.
		    She is survived by three daughters and two sons: Mrs. J. F.  Mercer of Bunnell; Mrs. Cora Tyson and Mrs. Mattie Geoghagan both of  Jacksonville; Z.C. West of St. Augustine and Steven Richardson of Glenwood,  Georgia; Also one sister, Mrs. R.W. Deen, Sr., of Bunnell, and two brothers, T.  T. Richardson of Bunnell and C. R. Richardson of St. Augustine. Twenty-four  grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren also survive.
		    Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o’clock Friday  morning at the Espanola Cemetery with Rev. W. T. Brantley and Rev. Perry  Tomlinson in charge. The body will be at the Mercer home from four o’clock  Thursday afternoon until the funeral hour. Funeral arrangements are in charge  of Key-McCabe Funeral Home, St. Augustine.
		    Active pallbearers are: Dale B Brown, M. B. Fuller, H. A.  Eisenbach, T. L. King, E. A. Hunter,  and  T. E. Holden.
