		      BUNNELL  - Gordon L. "Jinks" Walker, 74, 205 N. Cherry St., a life resident of  Florida, died Friday evening at Coastal Communities Hospital after a long fight  with cancer. 
		      
		      Mr.  Walker was born in Odessa. 
		      
		      He  moved to Bunnell with his family as a young child. He was graduated from  Flagler County High School in 1929 where he played on the basketball team. He  played semi-professional baseball before becoming a jockey for Hooper Farms,  Ocala. He was the first jockey to ride Prince, the Hooper’s champion horse. 
		      
		      He  later was employed as a bookkeeper for Cody Manufacturing Company, Flagler  County. He then worked as a manager for Kudrna Chevrolet Company and Sunoca  Gas Company, both in Flagler County. In 1942 he moved to New Smyrna Beach and  worked as conductor in the transportation department with Florida East Coast  Railroad. In 1963 he moved to Wildwood and began working for Seaboard Coastline  Railroad. He retired in 1976 and returned to his parents' home in Bunnell. 
		    		      Mr.  Walker was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bunnell, where he served  as usher and former associate trustee. He also was a member of United  Transportation Union; Masonic Lodge 200 F&AM, Bunnell; Flagler County  Historical Society; Bunnell Pioneer Society; and Espanola Cemetery Association. 
		      
		      Survivors  include his wife, Dora; one son, Chaplain Major Russell, Huntsville, Ala.; two  daughters, Nancy Bayless, Rockville, Md., and Janet Mooney, Winder, Ga.; and  six grandchildren.
