FLAGLER  BEACH - William H. Tidwell, 83, of North Oceanshore Boulevard, a pipefitter  for Georgia Pacific before his retirement, died Saturday at home. 
A  native and lifelong resident of Flagler Beach, Mr. Tidwell was a Navy veteran  of World War II. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 280 and Veterans of Foreign  Wars Post 5213. Mr. Tidwell enjoyed travel, fishing and hunting. 
Survivors  include his wife of 26 years, Betty; a son, Michael, St. Augustine; two  daughters, Elaine Hutchinson, San Antonio, and Roseanna Lowe, Hollister;  three stepsons, Wayne Wallace, Ormond Beach, Kevin Wallace, Daytona Beach, and  Russell Wallace, Tallahassee; two stepdaughters, Karen James, Tallahassee, and  Deborah Ely, Sanford; a brother, Harry, Dothan, Ala.; two sisters, Barbara  Cortese, Flagler Beach, and Mariel Hawel, Santa Barbara, Calif.; 16  grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. 
Craig-Flagler  Palms is in charge.

TIDWELL,  WILLIAM H. - Funeral service for William H. Tidwell, 83, Flagler Beach, who  died at home Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, will be 12 noon Wednesday, Sept. 15, in  the chapel of CraigFlagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South,  Flagler Beach. Interment will follow at Espanola Cemetery. Family will receive  friends from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. 
Mr.  Tidwell was born Aug. 21, 1921, in Flagler Beach where he was a lifelong resident.  He was a proud Navy veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of VFW  Post #5213 and a past master of Masonic Lodge #200, both in Bunnell. He was a  pipefitter with Georgia Pacific before his retirement. Mr. Tidwell enjoyed  traveling, fishing, hunting, but mostly loved to watch the sunset with his wife  of 26 years, Betty. 
He is  also survived by his son, Michael (Eileen) Tidwell, St. Augustine; daughter,  Elaine (James) Hutchinson, San Antonio, Texas, Roseanna (Dan) Lowe, Hollister;  stepsons, Wayne (Gail) Wallace, Ormond Beach, Russell Wallace, Tallahassee,  and Kevin (Kim) Wallace, Daytona Beach; stepdaughters, Karen James,  Tallahassee, and Deborah (Lane) Ely, Sanford; sisters, Mariel Hawel, Santa  Barbara, Calif., and Barbara (Mike) Cortese, Flagler Beach; brother, Harry  (Gerline) Tidwell, Dothan, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. 
Arrangements  are in the care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
