		    Hubert  Thompson, who was fatally injured in an accident on State Highway 28 about 7  o'clock Tuesday evening, died about three hours later in the Glendale hospital  in Palatka.
		      
	        Young  Thompson, accompanied by a younger brother William Ray, had gone to the L. S.  Cody farm to milk and was turning to the Miller Farms, where the Thompson  family resides, when the accident occurred, it was declared. 
		    The two Thompson  boys were riding horseback on Highway 28 near the Neilson farm, when the horse  was struck by an automobile driven by Jeff Cockrell of Bunnell. Mr. and Mrs.  Cockrell were returning to Starke, where Mr. Cockrell is employed at Camp  Blanding, when the accident occurred. A nearby resident rushed the injured to  the hospital in Palatka.
		      
		      William  Ray Thompson, brother of the dead youth, also received serious injuries and is  confined to the hospital for medical treatment. Mr. Cockrell received a broken  arm and a number of other painful injuries.
		      
		      Funeral  services for young Thompson were held at the graveside in Espanola Cemetery  Wednesday afternoon with Rev. W. T. Brantley, pastor of the Bunnell Methodist  Church officiating.
		      
		      Mr.  Thompson is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thompson; two sisters,  Martha May Thompson and Ethelena Thompson; also two brothers, Thomas Franklin  and William Ray Thompson, of the Bimini section.
		      
		      Funeral arrangements were  under the direction of Carl Davis and Son of Palatka.
