		    Mrs. Ellie Shaw of Palatka died Sunday in a hospital there  after a long illness. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Barber of  Bunnell and had been a resident of Palatka twenty-three years. She was 60 years  of age.
		    Mrs. Shaw served as chief clerk of the Draft Board of  Palatka during World War II. Since that time she had been secretary to Senator  B. C. Pierce. She was a member of the St. James Methodist Church in Palatka.
		    Survivors include her one son, Dennis Shaw of Palatka; her  parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Barber of Bunnell; three sisters, Mrs. J. H.  McKnight of Bunnell, Mrs. C. A. Byrd of Seville, Mrs. C. G. Varn of St.  Augustine, and one brother, J. E. Barber .of Montgomery, Alabama.
		    Funeral services were held at 10:30 Wednesday morning from  the First Methodist Church of Bunnell with the pastor, Rev. Oliver F. Taylor  and Rev. Max Smith of Palatka officiating. Interment followed at the Espanola  Cemetery.
		    Pallbearers were Vernon Green, John Campbell, Vincent  Sullivan, B. F. Waters, Paul Hudson, and Virgil Stuart. 
		    The Johnson-Davis Funeral Home of Palatka was in charge of  arrangements.
