Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the First Baptist Church for Charles Samuel SeDessie, long-time resident of Bunnell, who died in the Halifax hospital at Daytona Beach Thursday morning, following an illness of three months. Rev. E. W. Ware, pastor of the church, officiated with burial following in Espanola Cemetery.

Mr. SeDessie, 85, was a native of West Virginia, coming here from Charleston 30 years ago. He owned and operated Dad's Barbershop, located on Moody Blvd. for many years. Due to failing health he moved the barbershop to his home on Palm Ave. about ten years ago where he operated it until last fall. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth SeDessie of Bunnell; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Harris, Bunnell, and Mrs. Ethel Washington, of Charleston, West Virginia; two step-daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson and Mrs. Martha Lou Kirkland of Bunnell; one step-son, John F. Clements of Zephyrhills. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were L. M. Whitaker, W. L. Dunson, Henry Wells, T. K. McKnight, W. H. Atkinson, and D. D. Moody. Honorary pallbearers were Clyde Lewis, Dr. J. E. Rose, John Burrell, Lewis Wadsworth, Dean Holland, John Jarosz, E. S. Morris and R W. Deen, Sr.

Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.
