BUNNELL  - Earl E. Rice, 82, of Lemon Street, a former Bunnell city commissioner, died  Sunday at Flagler Pines. 
Mr.  Rice, a Navy veteran of World War II, moved to this area in 1952 from his  native Janesville, Iowa. He retired in 1986 as maintenance supervisor after 20  years with Flagler County Schools. A 32nd degree Mason, Mr. Rice was a member  of First United Methodist Church of Bunnell, American Legion Post 115, Flagler  County Shrine Club 558, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge 200 F&AM, High 12 Club  and was a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge in Bunnell. 
Survivors  include his wife of 27 years, Opal; a son, Earl Jr., Bunnell; and two grandchildren.

RICE, EARL E., SR.-Funeral service for Earl E. Rice Sr., 82, Lemon Street,  Bunnell, who died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, at Flagler Pines Nursing Home,  Bunnell, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral  Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, with Pastor Elizabeth Gardner  officiating. 
His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday,  Sept. 7, from 10 am until service time. Burial will follow the services at  Espanola Cemetery. 
Earl  was born Feb. 18, 1923 in Janesville, Iowa, to Dan and Jessie (McCann) Rice. He  served in the United States Navy and moved to Bunnell in 1952, coming from  Janesville. Earl was the supervisor of the Maintenance Department for Flagler  County Schools for 20 years until his retirement in 1986. 
He was a past City  Commissioner of Bunnell, member of the American Legion Post #115; charter  member of the VFW in Bunnell; member of the First United Methodist Church of  Bunnell; member of the Flagler County Shrine Club # 588; he was a 32nd degree  Mason; member of the Lions Club of Bunnell; member of the Masonic Lodge 200  Bunnell F & AM; and a member of the High 12 Club. 
Survivors  include his loving wife of 27 years, Opal Rice, Bunnell; son and  daughter-in-law, Earl Jr. and Susan Rice, Bunnell; two grandchildren, Holle  and Charles Rice, both of Bunnell; niece, June Resser, Janesville; Carol  Craig-Creasy and her husband, Jack, Flagler Beach; John and Brenda Craig,  Winter Haven, and Jay and Kathy Allen, Palm Coast. 
Earl was preceded in death  by his first wife, Audrey Rice, son, Danny Rice, and his sister, Mable Wagner.
