Mrs. Clara Rice, wife of John Rice of Bunnell, died early Tuesday evening at the Flagler Clinic and Hospital following a short illness.

Mrs. Rice was born in Axon, Ga., and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barney White of Bunnell. She has resided in Bunnell for the past 25 years, coming here from Daytona Beach. She was 55 years of age and was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church of Bunnell.

She is survived by her husband, John C. Rice of Bunnell; two brothers, Fred White and Spencer White of Bunnell. Also Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Prayers will be said at the Chapel of the Garcia Funeral Home in St. Augustine at 8 o’clock tonight (Thur.). Friends may call at the chapel after 2 o'clock this afternoon.

Funeral services will be held from the St. Stephens Catholic Church of Bunnell at 9 o'clock Friday morning. Interment will follow at the family lot in the Espanola Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be T. E. Holden, Travis Chambers, Hoke Cobb, George Wickline, R. L. McNab, and Henry Wells.
