		     Bernard Joseph (Bernie) Powers Jr., 71, of  Bunnell passed away on March 29, 2017. He was born in 1945 in Paterson, New  Jersey, to Mary and Bernard Joseph Powers Sr.
Bernard Joseph (Bernie) Powers Jr., 71, of  Bunnell passed away on March 29, 2017. He was born in 1945 in Paterson, New  Jersey, to Mary and Bernard Joseph Powers Sr. 
		      
		      Bernard proudly served his  country in the army during the Vietnam War. After completing his tour of  duty in Vietnam, he worked for many years as a truck driver for Eastman Kodak  in New Jersey. 
		      
		      A few years after he married  Florence Santuoso in 1987, he and Florence moved to Florida and made the  Sunshine State their home. Bernard had a kind and gentle demeanor, a dry sense  of humor, a life-long love of animals, and a strong commitment to his family  and friends. 
		      
		      He is survived by his wife of  thirty years, Florence; his nieces Michelle Cloughsey, Sue Costello, and Doreen  Neville; his nephews Robert and David Andre; brother-in-law Bob Andre; and  stepsons Michael and Mark Santuoso. 
		      
		      He was predeceased by his parents  and his sister Bernadette Andre. 
		      
		      Friends may visit on Monday,  April 3, 2017, 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms  Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South Flagler Beach. 
		      
		      A graveside service will be held  on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, 11:00AM at Espanola Cemetery. 
		      
		      Arrangements are under the care  and direction of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
