James Nay Sean (Harrie) Medders, 61, the brother of Bonnie Higginbotham of Bunnell, died Thursday at home. 

Mr. Medders, a National Guard veteran, was born in Haw Creek, and was a lifelong resident of Putnam and Flagler counties. He was a gunsmith and member of the National Rifle Association. 

Additional survivors include his wife, Donna R.; three daughters, Debra A. Buss, Federal Point, Mellisa L. Messon, Palatka, and Michelle Baggett, Orange Mills; a sister, Bessie Mann, Sanford; and 10 grandchildren.

Watts Funeral Home & Crematory, San Mateo, is in charge.
