Mrs. Laverne Kempisty of Korona passed away early Monday night at the local hospital following an illness of several weeks. She was a native of Indiana and had resided in Korona about 12 years. She was 57 years of age.

She is survived by her husband, John Kempisty of Korona and a son, Jesse Overby, also of Korona.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Espanola Cemetery. Rev. Thomas Pinner, pas­tor of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell, will officiate.

Pallbearers are Raymond Smith, Lyman Gage, Bill Humphrey, Martin Ralph, Cliff McGriff and John Boleski from Daytona Beach.

Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell is in charge of arrangements. The body will rest at the chapel, 201 E. Moody Blvd., from 7 o'clock Friday evening until 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
