Sylvia Jane Johnston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Johnston, died Thursday evening at the home of her parents here following a long illness. She was a native of Eustis and had resided here for the past three years. She was 18 years of age.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the First Methodist Church of Bunnell with the pastor, L. E. Watkins officiating. Interment was in the Espanola Cemetery.

Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Johnston, of Bunnell; 3 sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Dean, Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Mary Helen Baker, and Deborah Ann Johnston of Bunnell; 3 brothers, Duane and John Metts, and Ronald C. Johnston; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Johnston, Sr., Bunnell. Also surviving are several cousins.

Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.
