BUNNELL -- Walter H. Holmes, 78, of Pelican Drive, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Monday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler. 

Mr. Holmes, an Army veteran of World War II, came here 34 years ago from his native Baltimore.

He was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Palm Coast. 

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara L. Hoskins, Panama City, Gloria J. Bross, Palm Coast, and Lois A. Meyers, Ormond Beach; a son, Randy L., Palm Coast; two sisters, Margaret West, Aberdeen, Md., and Evelyn Smith, Perry Hall, Md.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Craig, Palm Coast, is in charge.
