		    Funeral services for Elmer L. Friedman Sr., 602 East  Minnesota Avenue, DeLand were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church  of Bunnell. Rev. Lafayette Walker, dean of ministry at Stetson University,  officiated. Interment was at Espanola Cemetery.
		      
	        Mr. Friedman died Saturday morning at the Ormond Beach  Osteopathic Hospital after a short illness. He was a service station operator  in DeLand. He was born in Covington, Tennessee and came to Bunnell from DeLand  in 1948. After residing here 12 years he returned to DeLand in 1960.
		    He is survived by his wife, Marie of DeLand; 1 son, E. Louis  Friedman Jr., DeLand; a sister, Mrs. P. A. Holliman of Covington, Tenn.; a  brother A. L. Friedman of Stanton, Tenn.
		    Active Pallbearers were Clare Biddle, Bion Matherly, John  Moran, Bion Fergerson, Don Bradshaw, and Ernest Taylor. Honorary bearers were  Hal Clerk, Jim Connell, Bion Yaxley, Gary Meadows, and J. J. Wilson.
		    Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Craig  Funeral Home of Bunnell.
