	      Walter Lou Fortner, 61, Hastings,  a frequent visitor to Flagler County, died January 30.
	      Mr. Fortner was a native of  Parrish, Florida and moved to Hastings in 1943 from Bradenton.
	      He was a farmer and Associate  Trustee of Briarwood School in Palatka.
	      Survivors include his wife,  Kathryn Lord Fortner; four daughters, Mrs. Anthony F. Marascio, Woodbridge,  Va.; Mrs. Martin Carmody, San Diego, Calif.; Miss Deborah Fortner and Miss  Stephanie Fortner, both of Hastings; three sons, Walter Jr., Timothy and  Shawn, all of Hastings; two sisters and one brother.
	      Graveside services were  Tuesday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Espanola Cemetery. The Rev. Willard Smith,  Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and the Rev. Wayne Thomas, Grace United Methodist  Church, officiated.
	      Active pallbearers were Z. G.  Holland Jr., Marcus Barnes, J. B. Register, Marshal Barnes, John Tindall and  Walter Horne.
