Darius Harold Emery of Espanola died at the Flagler Clinic and Hospital at 5:15 Wednesday morning, following a short illness.

Mr. Emery, 73, was born in Galva, Illinois, but had lived most of his life in Florida. He had lived in Flagler County since 1933. He was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell and also a member of the Bunnell Masonic Lodge No. 200.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable Emery of Espanola; three daughters, Mrs. Joyce Patrick of Homestead, Mrs. Hazel Butler and Mrs. Bernice Royster of Ventura, Calif.; one son, Harold Emery of Espanola; one sister, Mrs. Mary Johnston of Freeport, Ill. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service will be held at the Espanola Cemetery with Rev. E. W. Ware officiating. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine is in charge of arrangements.

The funeral hour has been set for ten o'clock Friday morning.
