Benjamin F. Davis of Bunnell died early Sunday morning in the local hospital following a brief illness. He suffered a stroke on Wednesday of last week.

Uncle Benny, as he was known to his many friends was 85 years of age and. had been a life long resident of the Flagler-St. Johns County section.

A graveside funeral service was held at the Espanola Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. With Rev. Wesley Wilder, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell, officiating. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Clyde Lewis, Zip Edmonson, Roy Buckles, Bert Harding, Dewey Moody and Z. D. Holland.

Survivors include six cousins, Mrs. Daisy Buckles, Mrs. Nita Akins, and Mrs. Grace Kinney, Bunnell; Mrs. Jane Williams, East Palatka; Lee Davis, Floral City; and Harry Davis, Citra.
