CHARLES H. COWART

A visitation for Charles H. Cowart Sr., 86, of Bunnell, FL, who passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, will be held at the First Baptist Church in Bunnell, FL on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Espanola Cemetery on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A potluck will be held after the graveside service at the Haw Creek Community Center, meat will be provided, please bring a dish.

Charles was born on September 15, 1932 in Pomona Park, Florida to the late Charles H. and Ester H. Cowart. Papa- Charles Cowart was a cowboy from a young age and a hard working honest man.

He had a turpentine business before he joined the army and pulp wood business after. Charles and his wife Patrica ran their cow/calf ranching operation Double C Ranch and he also managed all of the cattle and land for his father CH Cowart. He loved his family and the ranch lifestyle.

Charles was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell, a past president of the Flagler County Cattlemans Association and a member of the VFW.

For entertainment he loved to hunt, fish, play poker, listen to Ray Stevens, Mel Tillis and loved to dance. He was fun loving and always loved a joke and to laugh. He was one tough cowboy whose memory we will cherish forever.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patrica Deen Cowart; son, Charles H. Cowart Jr., daughter, Edee Colleen Hurst; son, Robert Deen Cowart Sr; grandchildren, Charles L., Rhett, Chad, Brittany, Codee; great grandchildren, Charles T., Chad and Alexis.

The family of Mr. Cowart entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
