		      NEW SMYRNA BEACH - Julian G.  Clark, 79, a former resident of DeLand, died Feb. 7, 2002, at Bert Fish Medical  Center in New Smyrna Beach. 
		      
		      Mr. Clark retired as a special  agent for the FBI, having been stationed in Kansas City, Mo., Wichita, Kan.,  Milwaukee, Stamford, Conn., and New Haven, Conn., and having worked as an  instructor at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Va. Born in Pittsboro, N.C., he was  raised in DeLand and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1978 from Stamford. 
		      
		      He graduated from Stetson  University and Stetson University College of Law. 
		      
		      Mr. Clark was a member of and an  usher and deacon at First Baptist Church of New Smyrna Beach, a 50-year member  of St. Johns Lodge No. 37 F&AM in DeLand, and a member of the Society of  Former Agents of the FBI. 
		      
		      He was a decorated U.S. Army  combat veteran of World War II, having served with the 88th Blue Devils  Division in the European theater. 
		      
		      Mr. Clark is survived by his  wife, Virginia "Jenny"; a son, Julian G. "Jay" Jr. of  Gainesville; a daughter, Jayne Clark of Jenkintown, Pa.; two brothers, Edward  and Benjamin, both of DeLand; a sister, Lucille Johnson of DeLand; and three  grandchildren, Brittany, Julianna and Rebecca Clark, all of Gainesville.
