Funeral service for Ellamae Cauley, 84, South Lemon Street, Bunnell, who died Friday, July 2, 1999 at Flagler Pines Nursing Center, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at First Baptist Church of Bunnell. Friends may call at Crag Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Cauley was born in Lisbon, Ohio, and moved here 68 years ago from there. She had lost her hearing due to spinal meningitis in 1961 and was the first known totally deaf person in Flagler County. She later taught sign language to the Girls Auxiliary of First Baptist Church of Bunnell where she was a member.

Survivors include three sons, Gene, Palm Coast, and Jerry and Billy, both of Bunnell; one daughter Connie Wimberly, Palm Coast; one brother Jacob Ehlenbach, England; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grand children and four great-great-grandchildren.
