George Wesley Buckles, 65, died in the Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine last Saturday morning after a lingering illness. Mr. Buckles was born at Barberville in Volusia County, but came to what is now Flagler County when he was but a young lad, and where he has since resided.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 o'clock from the Bunnell Methodist Church, with H. B. Murdock, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Espanola Cemetery in the family plot there with Craig Funeral Home of St. Augustine in charge.

Surviving are his wife; seven brothers, John of Bunnell; Clarence of San Mateo, Arthur and Raiford of Daytona Beach; Clyde and Raymond of Belle Glade; one sister, Mrs. Mae Malphurs of Bunnell; one son, Roy Buckles also of Bunnell; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Yarn of DeLand and Mrs. Eva Davis of Miami. Also surviving is one grandchild.
