Arthur J. Buckles, 78, longtime resident of this area, died Saturday at his home, 721 Segrave St.

Mr. Buckles was born in Flagler County and came eto Daytona Beach as an infant. He was a self-employed painter.

Survivors include a brother.

Cardwell, Port Orange, is in charge.
