		      Funeral services for Walter Bankowski, 75, were held Tuesday morning at the  Craig Funeral Home Chapel, with Fr. J. A. Blyll of St. Paul’s Polish National  Church officiating.
		      
		      Mr. Bankowski died last Friday night in the Veterans Hospital in Lake City  after a lingering illness. 
		      
		      He was a member of the local post of The American  Legion and the Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War I.
		      
		      He was born in Poland and came to the United States in 1910. He came here  from Newark, N. J. about 12 years ago. 
		    Survivors include his widow, Jadwiga,  Bunnell; two sons, Casmir, Newark, and Henry of Woodbine, N. J; three brothers,  Stanley, Steve and Frank, of Poland.
		      
		      Graveside services were conducted by members of The American Legion Post. 
		      
		      Craig Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
