POOLER, Ga. - Ida O. Allen, 57 of Pooler, a native of Daytona Beach, died Aug. 3 at home.

Ms. Allen grew up in Bunnell, where she was a graduate of Bunnell High School, and moved to Pooler in 2004 after being a lifelong Volusia County resident.

She earned her bachelor's of arts degree from Stetson University and her associates of science degree from Daytona Beach Community College. Ms. Allen was a retail sales manager in Savannah, Ga. She enjoyed drawing and painting.

Survivors include her lifelong companion, Doug Prevatt; and a brother, George III, and a sister, Lila Pontius, Bunnell.
