Harry Taconis, 61, winter resident of Flagler Beach, died early Tuesday afternoon in the East Coast hospital at St. Augustine, after an illness of two months.
Mr. Taconis was a native of Holland, but came to the United States when a young man. Most of his life was spent in Connecticut and Vermont, but he had spent the past eight winters in Daytona Beach and Flagler Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Shirley Taconis, Flagler Beach, and four daughters, three of whom reside in Connecticut and one in Michigan.
Burial services are planned to be held in Branford, Conn. in about a month.
