Edward C Mitchum of Artesia, North AlA, was killed and four others critically injured in a two-car wreck four and half miles north of Flagler Beach early Friday evening. Riding in the station wagon with Mitchum was his wife who was seriously injured.

Mrs. Carolyn R Pyle of Jacksonville Beach died in the local hospital about three hours later. Curtis Clinton Garcia, driver of the second car involved in the wreck, died about noon Saturday. Mrs. Pyle and Mrs. Alice Chao, also of Jacksonville Beach, were passengers in the card driven by Garcia. Mrs. Mitchum and Mrs. Chao were seriously injured and are receiving treatment at the local hospital.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in Jacksonville for Mr. Garcia. Services were held at Jacksonville Beach for Mrs. Pyle. Services will be held this week in Bessemer, Ala. for Mr. Mitchum. He is a former resident of Bessemer.
