O. D. Powell, 55, signal man for the Florida East Coast Railway at Daytona Beach, shot and killed himself last Friday night at his home in Daytona Beach. He had been employed for the railroad for about twenty years it was stated.

Mr. Powell resided in Bunnell for a number of years where he served as signal man in this section, before going to Daytona Beach.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning in Daytona Beach and the body was carried to his former home in Alabama for burial services.
